Security testing that leaves you with answers
Viper Attack is a new business built around a simple idea: smaller organizations deserve clear evidence about their security, not just more alerts and longer reports.
Scott Walton
Scott has spent his career in enterprise technology sales, helping organizations understand and adopt complex technology. His work has covered cybersecurity, identity and AI, including time selling security solutions at VIPRE, and has reached customers from small businesses to financial institutions, government agencies and defense contractors.
Over those years he kept hearing the same thing from business leaders: they had bought good tools, but nobody could tell them plainly whether those tools were working. Viper Attack is his answer to that question.
Scott leads sales, scoping and the customer relationship. Technical testing and review are carried out by qualified practitioners engaged for each assessment.
Viper Attack is an independent business. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by VIPRE or any other security vendor.
Several engines, one clear report, human judgment throughout
No single testing tool answers every security question well. Our plan is to use the right platform for each job and put a qualified person between the software and your report.
Complementary testing platforms
We're evaluating established commercial platforms for network testing, control validation and phishing simulation. We'll add each one only when customers need what it measures, and we'll name our delivery partners once agreements are in place.
Qualified human review
An experienced technical lead approves the scope, oversees testing and validates every finding before it reaches you. Software can draft summaries. People sign off on conclusions.
Findings you can trace
Each result keeps its test date, system, technique, evidence and confidence, so you can see exactly where a conclusion came from and what it does and doesn't cover.
What we won't do
Trust matters more than marketing in this field, so here's where we draw the lines.
- Test anything without written authorization
- Promise that you can't be breached
- Invent a single score to make results look tidier
- Claim partnerships, certifications or customers we don't have
- Share your findings with anyone not named in your agreement
Help shape the service
